Stress indicates the presence of tension or pressure. To some extend it is healthy. It makes you feel much more alert and boosts your productivity. After it has passed away, the body will regain its normal function and you feel relaxed again.
But sometimes stress can damage your health and/or body functions. In the beginning you might start feeling agitated. When this situation keeps on going for a longer period of time your body will start to protest by showing all kinds of different reactions e.g. muscle straining, breathing problems, headache and you feel like there is no escape anymore. You find it hard to maintain balance within your body and mind. This balance we need so desperately for staying in control.
